SEALEGS ANNOUNCES THE AUCTION OF IKA11

by admin

Sealegs International Limited has announced the start of its international auction of one of the largest amphibious craft the New Zealand Company has ever built.

The Sealegs IKA11 was originally produced to showcase the capabilities of its large format Amphibious Enablement System 100 – which has a maximum load capacity of 7.5 tonnes and can support a vessel of up to 13m in length. Sealegs System 100 is designed with the military and professional (milpro) markets in mind and is three times larger than the recreational Sealegs System 70 offering.

IKA11 was sent over to the USA for promotional duties and has since returned to be auctioned to one lucky amphibian. The IKA11 has less than 100 hours run time on its 370 HP twin turbo diesels. This one of a kind vessel can be viewed by appointment in New Zealand at Gulf Harbour Marina and a personal walk through can be arranged for our overseas customers via video call.

Sealegs will be happy to refer the future owner to a marine outfitter to customise this craft to suit their needs. This craft will be covered by a 6 month warranty.

Whilst this is the largest and arguably most unique vessel it has offered for auction, it isn’t the first time a Sealegs has been up for auction. In 2015, Sealegs auctioned off an ‘All Blacks’ Edition of their popular 7.1m Sports RIB. This limited edition had signatures engraved in the console of the players and coach of the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby team.
